Wayzata water feature on Panoway temporarily closed

The City of Wayzata has closed the water feature on Panoway on Wayzata Bay, until further notice. It has been closed since July 22, 2021.

Wayzata’s Director of Public Works Mike Kelly said “due to state-wide drought conditions, the DNR is requiring reduction/ban of all non-essential outdoor water use.”

According to the Minnesota DNR, 72% of the state is in a drought on July 20, 2021. Most of the Twin Cities falls in the moderate drought category.
